In an incredibly chilling true crime case, two Texas brothers are accused of killing four other members in their family before killing their own family. But why was this crime committed and the two planned together? In a suicide note, a brother blamed it on depression, mental health, and emphasized how gun control in the US is “a joke” as well as his dissatisfaction The Office.
Detect their depression
In a twelve-page note linked to his Instagram account written before his murder and suicide pact with his elder brother, nineteen-year-old Farhan Touheed wrote down the rationale behind the true crime case which he would later do. He wrote that he and his twenty-one-year-old brother Tanveer Tauheed were going through manic depression and spent their days watching TV.
Farhan Touheed’s note begins with Chilling Words: “Hey everyone, I killed myself and my family”. He said: “If I am going to die, I can get some attention.” I am going to cover four very important issues throughout my life. Who knows, something good can come out of it ”. Tauheed then began to expand his very long and dark history with depression, mental health, and loss of himself.
He reported that he was depressed since high school in 2016, and he cut himself for the first time in 2017. He recalled that “it didn’t take him long to get accustomed to this feeling”, and soon after he started, he moved on. To cut weekly, every other day, daily and finally several times a day ”. He hit his “breaking point” in the winter of that year, when he cut himself until he “could feel nothing physically”.
Trying to get help
Farhan said his father “gave ass work trying to help him”, and was sent to “some juvenile mental health camp” where he was diagnosed and put on meds. Since then, he elaborated that things started to explore him and that senior year was the best year of his life. Even he joined the computer science program at UT Austin.
However, he wrote: “My life was perfect, but that did not change the fact that I was depressed”. From there, he went on to brag about his outlook on life and the way his depression continued to weaken his everyday life until he finally had to move out of UT Austin. This was when he came home and started watching TV shows with his elder brother.
Farhan wrote: “If you think my position was f * cked, then their situation was very bad. This dude is af * cking genius but very depressed and eager to do anything with it socially. He had to go through the same sh * t that I did except myself. If he had not been there, I would have killed myself long ago.
The Office & gun control
Farhan wrote that The Office They were watching the main show, and he also went on to an incredibly detailed rant about how bad he thought the previous seasons were, “The Office Must end after Michael leaves “. He argued about Robert California and hated Andy, saying that although the finale was “cute”, it didn’t make up for “the last few sh * tty seasons”.
Farhan elaborated on her and Tanveer’s final plan, the two brothers watched until February 21, 2021, when Tanveer came to her with an offer: “If we can’t fix everything in a year, we ourselves Can kill him and his family “. Then he said that he loved his family, which is why they decided to kill him so that he would not have to live with the pain of his suicide.
The year-long plan finally went down for a month. He said that gun control in America is a joke. All my brother had to go to the gun shop, said something about wanting a gun for home defense, signed some forms, and that was it. There was a question whether he had any mental illness –
He said, “He didn’t just say it.” He did not ask for evidence or if he was taking any medicine (he was) ”. Farhan said: “Thank you for making the process so easy”. The two are believed to have shot their father, Tauhidul Islam, fifty, mother Irene Islam, twenty-six, grandmother Altafun Nessa, seventy, and Farhan’s twin sister, Keane Farbin, nineteen, who was allegedly a NYU. Then, the two brothers shot guns at themselves. His dead body was found around 1 pm Monday at his home in Allen, Texas. The note ended with Farhan explaining how he tried to donate the rest of his money before his death, but was disappointed that GoFundMe only had one filter for the “most overgrown” and not the other way around. . They said they could have changed more lives if they had more filters.
His twelve-page note ended: “And now here we are.” Well I think I am with my family and I am not, but you understand this ”.
