Ah, the product. One of the many fan hubs and great things like home After Franchise. While it may have its darkest corners, Wattpad was always a good, free place to read the stories of aspiring writers who hope to demonstrate their storytelling skills.
Unfortunately, this free part has faded into our browser history. Wattpad launched the Wattpad Premium program and the Wattpad Paid Stories program back in 2019 to the wrath of many of its users, which are still gaining steam today.
But what do these new services do for customers and are these new subscription services going to the end of the platform? Grab your pen and dive into what we know about the new fees associated with Wattpad stories.
What do these subscriptions do?
Wattpad announced the launch of its new subscription service as well as other programs in July 2019. The goal of the service was to give readers the opportunity to set up their favorite authors on the Watspeed Paid to Read Stories program, which would also help writers get better. Changes regarding compensation of their stories.
With the program, authors can set up payments for their stories where previously people could read these stories for free and writers would have to expect to be popular to see any monetized compensation for their work.
The other service, Wattpad Premium, allows customers to provide specific profiles such as customizable profile colors and no advertisements. They also set up a coin system, where users can use it to unlock paid stories at no additional charge.
How much do they cost?
While Wattpad Paid Stories has no fixed price (as it is up to the author how much each payer will be for each chapter of their stories), Wattpad Premium lists two options for its subscription services.
Their first option after the seven-day free trial is $ 4.99 per month, which offers no ads, unlimited offline stories, bonus coins and theme colors to decorate your profile. Their second option, priced at $ 7.49 per month, offers the ability to unlock all of the prior perks as well as two paid stories per month at no additional cost.
Although those prices don’t seem too bad for a subscription service, we still keep asking: Is this the new Wattpad Stories service? For many, the answer is angry, not resonating.
Sometimes after the chapter a long ass is added and they are shaking the premium wattpad down our throats.

Responses from users
Many veteran fans and new users of the site have many complaints about these new services and their impact on their experience. (And we can’t blame them).
Some people have expressed concern over new ad placements that are still trying to use the site for free, explaining how the ads make it impossible for readers to focus on the story. Others have complained about the pavels, stating that many times they get frustrated when a story they were enjoying was ending, because the payer was preventing them from continuing, leading to He was forced to leave the story.
The “premium” version of the Wattpad is one of the greatest tragedies of this generation, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it.

Due to numerous complaints, it is not surprising that if these services could end, Wattpad’s stories could be seen less and less, which could lead to the platform being shut down. Now that the site is flooded with advertisements and frustrating the Pavels, users can start abandoning Wattspeed, leaving aspiring authors without an audience. However, like any bad twist in a story, they should have seen that they were coming.
