It’s weird to think The Purge The franchise has been alive and well for so long, as the first film of the series was released nearly eight years ago. Oh how time flies. It seems like only yesterday when we were first introduced to such a terrible but iconic concept that shook the world and left a defining imprint in the horror film genre. After all, people really feared that The Purge Can turn into reality.
From the very first movie The Purge Franchise, it was an instant success. The film, which had a budget of three million, grossed that number by millions, grossing $ 89.3 million at the box office. Even though the film received incredibly low reviews by critics, as the film currently holds twenty-nine percent ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, it was clear that the general public was hooked.
Because of the immense success of The Purge, It was immediately transformed into a franchise. within a year, Pure: Anarchy Was released in 2014, then later Purge: Election Year Hit theaters in 2016, and then First purge Made in 2018, and now finally, we have Pure forever Coming soon this summer. Although critics continue to hate it, every release in theaters is flooded.
Pure: Anarchy, Purge: Election Year, And First purge All three films exceeded their budget by millions, with the box office grossing over 100 million respectively. First purge Made the most money with 137.1 million, which actually proved that this series is liked by the general public, and we really can’t get enough.
Between them, the main concept of these films remained the same. It introduced film watchers to a terrible near-future America, where crime rates have somehow declined and the country is doing better than ever. However, all of this is due to the Purge, an annual national holiday in which all crimes, including murder, become legal for a period of twelve hours.

Pure forever Actually it will have a direct sequel Purge: Election Year Was released in 2016. According to the trailer, the film will focus on a couple who are stranded on a farm in Texas. They meet a group who are trying to continue their own purification illegally. The trailer promises some bloody violence, lots of jump-scares, and of course, a lot of terrible masks.
Pure forever Ana de la Reguera, Tenoch Huerta, Josh Lucas, Will Patton, and more, and the much-awaited film will hit theaters on July 2, 2021. From the look of the trailer alone, we are sure this film will give fans a satisfyingly awful ending to one of the most loved horror film franchises of this generation. We can’t wait to see it.
