YouTuber Lindsey Ellis has long been a name in the world of video essays. Her career has now started entirely from the Grace channel, where she was the melancholy girl, talking about melancholy-based content, but was more focused My little horse And the like. However, over time, she turned to more serious film and television criticism.
Currently, she has published her first book, End of asom, And uploads long video essays on YouTube where he covers topics Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Omegavers lawsuit. Ellis has separated him over the years. Now, it aired upwards of a hundred due to Linsday Ellis’s ‘now-deleted tweet’ Raya and the Last Dragon, Who calls it a Avatar The Last Airbender Steal
To quote, he wrote: “See also Raya and the last dragon And I think we basically need to come up with a name for this genre Avatar The Last Airbender Redux. This is like half of all YA imaginations published over the years. Lindsay Ellis attempted to clarify her statements by writing after the tweet received a backlash.
“I can see that if you don’t show me I’m equating all the Asian-inspired qualities, especially if you were already private for conversations where I didn’t see them. But TLA’s infrastructure is becoming popular in fictional imagery outside of Asian-inspired goods. “
It was not well received. So, Lindsey Ellis did what she did best: made a video essay out of it. In the one-hour and forty-minute video, which you can see above, he discusses the canceled culture, the origins of the canceled word, and what it feels like to be the “villain of the day” on Twitter. This is an interesting, if lengthy video, which, predictably, divides people about the producer. So below are some of those responses.
Catch Gonna the L and say that the Lindsay Ellis video is really good and is neither an apology video nor is it that I’m a Wright video, but instead of “yeah here’s the dumb shit I’ve done, it’s now a decade.” Worth and half of the oppression that leads to it ”

This is a really interesting video
Lindsay Ellis had those self-receipts.
Lindsay Ellis said she got canceled when she was the one who deleted her Twitter because she didn’t want to admit that she committed a racist … unique victimization of white women

It wasn’t even an apology video
The tweet in question is racially insensitive. And it should be addressed, at least an apology.
Already, Lindsey Ellis has been seen poking fun at “posting a 2-hour video on the cancellation rather than apologizing”, but if you pay attention to Twitter from afar, it will be blatantly obvious That everyone who is “just apologizing” is already eager to apologize in any way over that apology. This is fair
But even if he apologized, would the apology be accepted? No not really.
This is the last Lindsey Ellis tweet that I do but a giant FUCK to all of you who ended the issue proportionally.

Video must be real
If Lindsey Ellis felt the need to share, even pressurize, a painful experience in her video, the internet is gross to put her in that situation.
It is disappointing that criticism by Asians about Lindsey Ellis’s tweet comparing it to the ATAA has been removed from the overwhelming idea of a canceled culture, and what it means, to a white person.
She was focusing herself on what the criticism is about the Asian microaggression.

Listen to the people who know what they are talking about
The Asian community is still dealing well enough. So if people in that community are saying something wrong, then, as a white person, maybe take a step back and listen to people who know what they are talking about.
The length of the new Lindsay Ellis video and the segment names are all vindicating her in the true sense.

They are proving him right
Lindsey Ellis made an apology video about her tweet. I am watching it and talking about it, because I am a POC, and more specifically, a Southeast Asian who is related to it. Give me an hour or two…

with honesty? Read this thread about the video because it is super interesting. Although it acknowledges that, yes, people took the Lindsay Ellis thing too far with valid concerns over the canceled culture. It also states that Ellis ignored criticism of good faith in his videos.
