Former Vlog Squad member Dominicus Zyglitis, better known as Durrett Dome, has returned to social media after brief hiatus following allegations of sexual harassment. To which, we say, he probably should have stayed away now. Because sexual harassment allegations against him, such as many former and current members of the Vogue Squad, are truly disgusting.
More to the point, it makes us wonder what it would take to officially revoke a YouTuber who made these accusations against him. Is this real jail time? Is this going to hurt people? What would it take to not give these people a platform and not prey on others? It’s like cockroaches trying to survive a nuclear event, you know?
On March 16, Insider Reported that a woman who appeared in a 2018 video for Vlog Squad leader (and reportedly, horrible human), David Dobrick’s channel, said she was raped by Dure Dom the night the video was filmed . The woman stated that she was given alcohol by members of the Vlog Squad before being blacked out for some time.
Due to this, she was too drunk for sex with Durrett Dom. Her consent, heavily consensual drunk, appeared on Dobrick’s YouTube channel as part of a “threesome” storyline, including Durrett Dome. At the end of the video it was viewed over 5 million times at the request of the woman. Following this article, Dure Dome stopped posting on its social media channels.
Meanwhile, Dobrick posted two apologies and condemned the former Vlog Squad member’s behavior. As far as we can tell, the police have not been involved in the investigation of the incident.
Durrett Dome makes his comeback
Durte Dome made her comeback on social media on April 17 by posting on Tiktok, where she has 2.7 million followers. The videos show internet personalities “living their best lives” by waving around money and being humiliated by women for feeding them grain. Another adult film star Riley Reid says that Durrett Dome “broke” her. To which we say, wow sir, can you be more disgusted with the charges around you?
Other influencers, who have noted the return of Duret Dom, are more than pleased to call him out. Commentary YouTuber, Angelica Oles, who focuses on drama and accusations among internet celebrities, tweeted, “Durrett Dome is back on Ticktock and I’m Sick.”
In March, after the article was released, YouTube confirmed that they demonetized Durrett Dome’s channel, meaning it could no longer make money from it. However, she really needs some serious jail time and should be banned from all social media platforms so that she can no longer prey on women. But if we can’t get any of those things, then being unable to make money from YouTube is something.
Why can’t we get these people canceled?
The Durrett Dome is just one of many YouTubers that deserve to be canceled and booted from the internet like James Charles or Geoffrey Starr. Unfortunately, however, there seems to be a need to bring larger (and more legal) guns to deal with such cases.
What do you think about Durrett Dome’s return to the Internet? Do you think TikTok needs to remove him from the platform? What about other social media sites? Do you think Durrett Dome will have to face charges to return in 2018? Sound off in the comments below and tell us what you think about these serious allegations.
