Amazon recently announced that Echo Show 10 users can now join a zoom call from an Alexa-powered smart speaker. Here’s how to do it.
“Alexa customers can now join Zoom and Amazon Chaim video conference call Echo Show on 10 devices”, Amazon revealed in its March Monthly Alexa Roundup.
“Just Say, Just Alexa, Join My Meeting,” Alexa, Join My Zoom Meeting “or, Alexa, Join My Amazon Chaim Meeting” Join a video meeting with colleagues, friends or family. If you have linked your calendar to the Alexa app, Alexa can automatically start your scheduled meeting completely hand-in-hand without the need for your meeting ID or passcode – just confirm the meeting title you want to join.
Until now, this feature was available only to Echo Show 8 users. One of the perks of Show 10 is its automatic camera tracking feature, which means you won’t have to worry about going out of sight during important calls.

How to include zoom calls on Amazon Echo Show 10
Although Amazon has yet to provide a step-by-step guide to accessing the Zoom on its latest Echo Show device, it shares the following guidance for the Echo Show 8 when it initially debuted that model in December. Was launched for.
To initiate a zoom call from your Echo Show, you must first sync your calendar. Download the Alexa app on your phone’s App Store (if you don’t already have one) and sign in with your account.
Then follow the steps below to add your calendar to the Alexa app:
- Open the alexa app
- Tap on ‘more’
- Tap on ‘Settings’
- Tap on ‘Calendar and Email’
- Choose your provider and tap ‘Connect account’
- Follow the on screen instructions
Once your calendar is connected to your Alexa account, go to your Echo Show and sign up for “Alexa, open the zoom app” and zoom in home with your zoom login details.
From there, all you have to do is attend your meetings. You can do this by entering a meeting ID or using a calendar associated with your Alexa or Zoom accounts.
Say “Alexa, join my Zoom meeting” to enter your meeting ID and passcode and join the call. If you have a meeting on your Alexa-connected calendar, you can say “Alexa, join my meeting” and the voice assistant will start your meeting. Finally, you can say “Alexa, open the zoom app” to use the meetings in your zoom calendar from the touchscreen.
Unfortunately, the Zoom is available on Echo Show devices in the US right now, so those of us in the UK will have to wait a bit to see if Amazon has decided to roll out the feature on our smart speakers.
