Samsung launched its Galaxy Buds Pro back in January 2021, and word has surfaced that it is set to launch another true wireless in the Galaxy Buds 2.
Given that some brands take two years or more to launch wireless earbuds, Samsung is close to launching four within the last 18 months. An apk teardown by Android police References to Galaxy Buds 2 were found in the Galaxy Live app. So we know that they are on the way, it is about when they will emerge.
The Galaxy Buds 2 will be the sequel to the original from 2019, so we can expect a similar look and base features, and some other areas are likely to be upgraded that will bring them in line with Samsung’s recent earbuds.
The Galaxy Buds Pro was Samsung’s best True Wireless, so expectations are high that Samsung may continue its upward trend. Here is all you need to know about the rumor-spreading Samsung Galaxy Buds 2.
When will Galaxy Buds 2 be announced?
Given Samsung’s previous appearance in releasing multiple earbuds in a calendar year, the Galaxy Buds 2 is expected towards the end of summer.
Given that Samsung often hosts an unpacked event around July / August, this would be as good a time as any to unveil it. Galaxy Buds Live was announced in early August 2020, so that the deadline seemed feasible to us.
Roland Quandeti Word was raised that Samsung had accelerated production for the earbuds labeled SM-R177, and Scuttlebut suggested that they were in fact the Galaxy Buds 2. They also said they would arrive “sooner rather than later”.
How much will Samsung’s upcoming wireless earbuds cost?
We are less certain about this aspect of Galaxy Buds 2. The Galaxy Buds Pro was Samsung’s most expensive True Wireless at £ 220. Looking at the ‘Pro’ moniker, you would assume that they would sit at the top of Samsung’s wireless earbud options.
So there is a possibility that the new Galaxy Buds will be cheaper. How much is still unknown.
Sammobile believes They carry a $ 170 price tag, their thinking largely up to the reported SM-R177 model number, putting them in the Galaxy Buds series (‘SM-R17x’) instead of the Galaxy Buds Pro series (SM-R190 ′). Will give.
Other rumors have pegged earbuds as low as $ 100, a substantial difference in price. We would imagine that they would be similar to the original (£ 139).
What features will the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 have?
Sammobile reported that the Galaxy Buds sequel will come in four colors: black, white, purple and green, with a vibrant sense of color rather than continuing this series.
Otherwise we are relying too much on our own guesses as to where Samsung can go with these true wireless.
If they are really cheap, this would mark them as a more standard true wireless connection. We would imagine that there would be no active noise cancellation, although the Amazon Echo Buds 2 includes the feature for an affordable price, we will not rule out an appearance altogether.
a Sketch emerged online What is the alleged charging case, and it appears Bigger than before And this opens up the possibility that the battery’s lifetime will be extended beyond the original’s total of 20 hours of battery (six hours in earbuds).
Overall, the original buds were fairly basic, so we would imagine that the reforms would not be difficult to accept. Galaxy Buds didn’t get IP resistance at all, so we expect it to be added for water and sweat resistance. There is likely to be a Bluetooth 5.0 version, with support for SBC, AAC and perhaps Samsung’s scalable audio codec.
We’d be surprised if wireless charging and fast-charging were not included, especially given Samsung’s PowerShare feature on their Galaxy smartphones as we speculate – and this is a guess from us – featuring Dolby Head Features like 360 audio. Tracking that Buds Pro support will not make it into Buds 2.
We also hope that the design will follow the same foundation, with no radical departure on that front. The original was equipped with wing-tips for a more secure fit, and there’s no reason we can imagine why Samsung would abandon it.
Sound quality would need to be improved, as its predecessor lacked a clear tonal balance and with the mid-range coming as under-cooks.
That’s all we know (or think we know) about the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. Given the rumors and speculation about these earbuds, we are hoping that these will be more affordable and feature improvements over the original. We definitely believe that we will hear more about them around July / August.
