What is Vajra 4?
Thunderbolt 4 is a next-generation connectivity solution, designed to replace Thunderbolt 3 in supported devices.
Universal technology was introduced last year with Intel’s Tiger Lake mobile processor and can already be found on many laptops.
This allows users to transfer data, output a display, and charge their device through the same USB-C port as the Thunderbolt 3, although it differs from the previous standard with a unique label Does.
While Thunderbolt 4 is not actually faster than its predecessor (both versions of Thunderbolt transfer data at a maximum of 40 Gb / s), connectivity has several advantages over the older standard.

The latest version of the Thunderbolt also supports accessories with four Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of the previous cap of two, and universal cables can be up to two meters.
Intel has stated that the Thunderbolt 4 should provide 100W of power for laptop charging, meaning that you should not be deterred from carrying multiple power cables. The laptop connected to the Thunderbolt dock can now also be woken up by touching the mouse or keyboard, removing the problem we saw with the Thunderbolt 3.
Lastly, there is Intel VT-Aid based Direct Memory Access (DMA) protection to help prevent physical DMA attacks. Microsoft has previously been local about its security concerns for Thunderbolt, so it’s great to see some progress here.
